A Message About What We've Covered
in (Lessons 1 - 100)

If you fully understand all of the lessons to this point, and can do a variety of associated problems with ease and with confidence, then you are on at least an 8th grade math level.

I have good news and good news.  The first good news is that you know more math than the overwhelmingly vast majority of American high school students.  Even if you were only on a fifth grade level in math, you would still know more math than the average American high school student.  You can decide whether to believe that statement, or if you prefer to believe statistics that you may have seen or heard elsewhere.

You still have a bit more to go until you know enough math to pass your state's high school exit exam, or your GED or such.  But, the second piece of good news is that from this point forward, all we're doing is continuing to build on the concepts that you already know.  We'll just take each one to the next level, but with your solid foundation in math, you should not have any difficulties at all.

Keep studying the new lessons, and remember to keep reviewing the old ones every day so that you will internalize all of the material.  This is how to master math.  Keep reviewing, keep practicing, and keep thinking about the material.  You're doing great, and you will achieve all of the goals to which you aspire.

At this point in the material, each state starts to teach material in quite a different order, and each state emphasizes different topics.  It is very important to find out exactly what topics will be covered on any official exams that you need to take.  You should also find out which topics tend to appear more frequently than others.  If you don't get a clear answer on this from one school official, ask another.

From this point forward, I'll go over a variety of topics which have previously appeared on the high school exit exams of different states.  But, I'll spend most of my time answering the specific questions that students have, as well as providing additional information on topics which students tell me they are having the most difficulty with.

Remember that you can ask a math question if you have additional questions about a topic, or you can contact me if you have any comments or suggestions for this site.
